The athletes featured in the projections are Deborah
Brennan, Curtis Brown, Phil Ferdinand, Glen Smith and
Kelly Sotherton, all members of Birchfield Harriers.
All filming was done at Alexander Stadium and the High
Performance Centre, in Birmingham. The event involved
projecting five digitally remastered, video film 'loops',
four of which were projected onto the NIA, and one onto
a water screen on the nearby canal. Five 5000 ansi lumens
projectors were used. Linford Christie kicked-off Shadow
Games with a gold plated whistle at 7.30pm on March
13. Images of the water screen projection were broadcast
internationally to fifty countries worldwide. Shadow
Games was made possible with funding from Advantage
