Copper and steel sculpture at the approach to Cork
airport, Ireland. The sculpture creates the image of
a winged horse when viewed from the road from Cork and
operates as an abstract work from all other angles.
PEGASUS includes fibre-optic lighting and appears as
a constellation during the hours of darkness. Siting
of the artwork took place on August 11th 1999, during
the total eclipse. Commission organised by the National
Sculpture Factory of Ireland.
